Who It’s For

Carriers with Part 382-covered drivers.

How to Use It

Use this checklist with your designated employer representative and testing provider. It is intended for drivers subject to FMCSA Part 382, including covered owner-operators. Non-DOT testing programs need a separate review and should not be mixed into the DOT random pool.

What’s Included

  • Testing-program setup
  • Clearinghouse and training checks
  • Provider contacts and corrective actions

Covered owner-operators need a compliant consortium arrangement and the required Clearinghouse C/TPA designation. Confirm your setup with the provider; hiring a vendor does not transfer the carrier’s responsibilities.
