The HOS Compliance BASIC relates to the operation of CMVs by drivers who are ill, fatigued, or in noncompliance with the HOS regulations. Some example Hours of Service Violations Include: Operating a CMV while ill or fatigued, requiring or permitting a property ­carrying CMV driver to drive more than 11 hours, failing to preserve RODS for 6 months and failing to preserve supporting documents.
